Our services, and how to pick the right first one

Start with the service that fixes your biggest leak. For most Vancouver small businesses that is the Google map listing, then the website, then everything else.

The right first service is the one that fixes the biggest leak between "someone in Vancouver needs what you sell" and "they contacted you". For most small businesses that leak is the Google map listing. For some it is a website that hides the phone number, and for a few it is simply not being visible at all. Below is how to tell which one is yours, and what each service does about it.

All five are delivered by the same small senior team, and all of them are marketing and advice only. We don't perform trade work, and we don't resell your enquiries. If you are unsure, the contact page explains what to send us, and we will tell you where we would start.

Google Business Profile and map listings

Start here if your business serves customers locally and you get fewer calls from Google Maps than competitors who are no better than you. The map pack is where most "near me" searches end, and many Vancouver profiles are incomplete, use the wrong categories, or show a home address they shouldn't.

The Google Business Profile service covers category choice, service-area set-up, photos, products and services, opening hours, review replies and a monthly posting rhythm. It is usually the cheapest improvement with the fastest payback.

Choose it first if: your profile has fewer than 20 reviews, the categories were set years ago, or you are not sure whether your address is showing.

Neighbourhood SEO

Choose this when your map listing is in good shape but your website rarely shows up in ordinary search results. Vancouver searchers often add an area ("Kitsilano", "East Van", "near Main Street") or describe a building ("strata", "basement suite", "heritage house"). Pages that match those searches can bring steady enquiries without paying for every click.

The neighbourhood SEO service builds a small number of genuinely useful pages, not hundreds of thin neighbourhood pages. Google treats those as doorway pages, and they can drag down a whole site.

Choose it first if: you have a decent website, some reviews, and a clear idea of which parts of the city you want more work from.

Small-business websites

Choose this if your current site is slow, hard to use on a phone, or makes people hunt for a way to reach you. A website doesn't need to be large. It needs to answer the obvious questions (what you do, where, roughly what it costs, how fast you can come) and make calling, texting or emailing a one-tap job.

The website service builds or rebuilds a plain, quick site that you own outright, including the domain and the accounts.

Choose it first if: more than half your visitors are on phones and your contact details sit at the bottom of the page, or you don't have a site at all.

Choose paid search when you need enquiries soon (a new business, a slow season, a new service) and you can afford to pay for them while organic work catches up. The danger in Vancouver is that many service keywords are expensive, and an uncapped account can spend a month's budget in a week.

The Google Ads service sets a written monthly ceiling and a maximum cost per enquiry, both worked out from what a customer is actually worth to you.

Choose it first if: you know your average job value and close rate, and you have cash for at least three months of testing.

Review requests and reputation care

Choose this if customers are happy but rarely leave reviews, or if a few harsh reviews sit unanswered at the top of your profile. Reviews feed the "prominence" part of local ranking and, more importantly, they are what a stranger reads before deciding to call.

The review service sets up a simple, policy-safe routine for asking every customer, plus thoughtful replies to every review, good or bad. We never buy, write or filter reviews.

Choose it first if: you finish plenty of jobs but your review count has barely moved in a year.

A simple order of operations

If you want a rule of thumb, this order fits most Vancouver small businesses:

  1. Fix the Google Business Profile.
  2. Make sure the website makes contact easy on a phone.
  3. Start a steady review routine.
  4. Add neighbourhood pages for the two or three areas you want most.
  5. Use Google Ads to fill gaps, not as the foundation.

Prices for bundling these into one monthly plan are on the pricing page. The guides explain several of these steps well enough for you to do them yourself if you prefer.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buy all five services?

No. Each service can run alone, and most owners start with one or two. Our plans bundle them so you pay one monthly price, but the work inside a plan is weighted toward whatever your business needs most.

Which service brings results fastest?

Google Ads can produce calls within days, and Google Business Profile fixes often show within a few weeks. Neighbourhood SEO and website improvements take longer but keep paying back without a per-click cost.

Do you work with businesses outside the City of Vancouver?

This site is built for businesses serving the City of Vancouver. Many of them also work in Burnaby, Richmond or the North Shore, and we plan for that too, but our local research and examples focus on the city's 22 neighbourhoods.

Will you install or fix anything for my customers?

Never. We are a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor. Your team does the work; we help the right customers find you and choose you.
