Vancouver Online Marketing is a digital marketing and business consulting service for small businesses and trades in the City of Vancouver. We help local owners get found online, earn the trust of strangers and turn that into calls, texts and emails. We are based in our home city, we keep the team senior, and we would rather tell you something is not worth doing than sell it to you.
We are not a contractor. We don't install, fix, clean or service anything for your customers; we market the business that does.
Where we fit
We are part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, serving clients across the country.
- Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. Under that umbrella sit brands such as Trades.Agency, HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Conv.ca and BusinessConsulting.ca.
- SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) advises Canadian companies on strategy, AI and accelerating revenue. Ali Sedighi founded it and remains its Founder and Managing Partner.
Our pricing and plans follow those of Trades.Agency, our parent brand for trades and home-service marketing. This site exists because Vancouver deserves a plan built around its own streets rather than a national template.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi leads Vancouver Online Marketing. He holds an MBA in Technology Management and has 17+ years of experience in digital marketing and business growth, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency.
He lives and works in Vancouver. Since then he has:
- founded Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca;
- founded SAZ.ca, where he is Founder and Managing Partner;
- worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai;
- built 150+ live HVAC websites; CombiBoiler.ca, HeatLand.ca, GasBoilers.ca and RomaHeating.ca are among them.
That HVAC portfolio is where most of the group's published case studies come from. On this site we show them as results from our HVAC work, a record of the method rather than a claim about other industries. You can read his profile on Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca.
How we work
Our approach is simple enough to explain in four lines:
- Numbers before tactics. We start with what a customer is worth to you and where your customers live, then decide what to spend.
- Small, focused plans. Two or three things done properly beat ten things done halfway. Each plan names what we will do first and how we will judge it at 90 days.
- You own everything. Every login that matters, from the domain and website to the map listing, ad account and analytics, is registered to your business. We are only ever managers on those accounts.
- Plain reporting. A short monthly note in everyday language: what we did, what happened, what we will change. No vanity charts.
We also hold ourselves to some firm limits. We never write fake reviews, buy links, build thin neighbourhood pages or promise rankings. We don't sell your enquiries to anyone else. And if a business is not ready for a monthly plan, we say so and point to the guides instead.
Who we work with
Our clients are owner-run businesses that serve customers inside Vancouver: plumbers, electricians, painters, renovators, roofers, landscapers, cleaners, movers, locksmiths, studios, specialty shops and other local services. Some have one van; some have a few crews. What they share is a need to be found by nearby customers and a dislike of paying for marketing they can't measure.
On this site we deliberately don't market heating and cooling services. For those, the group runs separate brands.
Why a home-city service matters
Being in Vancouver isn't a slogan for us; it changes the advice. We know that a crew can lose an hour on the bridges, that end-of-month moves flood the cleaning and moving trades, that autumn rain pushes roofing and drainage searches up, and that a large share of customers are tenants who need landlord approval. Those details decide which areas to target, what your pages should say and when to spend.
You can see how we approach each part of the city on the areas page, look at our services, or go straight to contact to start a conversation.
Frequently asked questions
Who will I actually deal with?
A senior strategist, from the first conversation onward. Ali Sedighi leads the work and stays involved in strategy. You won't be handed to a junior account manager after signing.
Are you part of a bigger company?
Yes. We are one of the services of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver. Trades.Agency is our parent brand for trades marketing.
Why should a Vancouver business work with you instead of a national agency?
Because we plan around the city itself: its 22 neighbourhoods, its renters and strata buildings, its bridges and its rainy season. A national template rarely accounts for any of that.
Do you have an office address?
We are headquartered in Vancouver but don't publish a street address. Clients reach us by call, text or email, and consultations are available online by video call or in person.
