For the fastest answer, phone or text (604) 632-4959; for anything with links or numbers, email Ali@Sedighi.ca. Our hours are Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. We usually reply within one business day. Whichever way you choose, you will deal with a senior strategist, not a call centre.
Before you get in touch, one reminder: we are a marketing and consulting service. If you need a plumber, electrician or cleaner, we are not the people to send, but we would be glad to help the business that is.
What happens next
You reach out
Call, text or email with a line about your business.
We reply
Usually within one business day, on the channel you chose.
You talk to a senior strategist
A focused conversation about your goals, market and numbers.
What to include in your first message
You don't need to prepare anything. But if you send a few details up front, the first conversation will be far more useful:
- Your business name and what you do.
- Your website and Google Business Profile links, if you have them.
- The Vancouver neighbourhoods you want more work in, and any nearby municipalities you also serve.
- Your average job or sale value, even a rough range.
- What you have tried before, such as an agency, ads or a website rebuild, and how it went.
- What "better" would look like in six months: more calls, different jobs, a quieter phone with bigger tickets.
If you would rather not share numbers in writing, that is fine. We can go over them on the phone.
A photo of your van, a screenshot of your current listing or a note about a competitor you keep losing to can also be surprisingly useful. Send whatever is easy; we will ask for anything else we need.
Sample first text or email (template)
If you are not sure what to write, copy this and fill in the brackets:
Hi, this is [Your name] from [Business name]. We do [type of work] mainly in [Neighbourhood 1], [Neighbourhood 2] and [Neighbourhood 3]. Our average job is about [$ amount]. Our website is [link]. We'd like more [type of job] and fewer [type of job]. Can we talk this week?
That is enough for us to look at your profile and website before we speak, so the first call starts with something useful rather than background questions.
What happens next
- We reply, usually within one business day, to set a time for a short call.
- We look before we talk. We check your website, map listing and reviews, and a few competitors in your target neighbourhoods.
- The first conversation, typically 30 minutes. Eligible trades businesses get this initial consultation free. We ask about your numbers and goals and tell you what we see.
- A short written plan, if it makes sense to continue: the first two or three things we would do, the plan that fits, and how we would judge progress at 90 days.
- Your decision. No pressure and no long contract. Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice.
When we are probably not the right fit
We would rather tell you now than after you have paid:
- If you can't take on more work in the next few months, marketing spend will be wasted. Fix capacity first; our sister site BC.Works focuses on recruiting for BC trades.
- If you often miss calls while on a job, start there. A missed-call text-back tool such as the one described on CallText.chat can save enquiries you are already paying to get.
- If your average job is small and customers rarely return, a monthly plan may not pay back yet. The guides explain how to handle the basics yourself.
Where we are
Vancouver Online Marketing is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. We don't list a street address. We serve businesses across all of the city's neighbourhoods, and you can read more about us or review pricing before getting in touch.
Frequently asked questions
Is it better to call, text or email?
Whichever suits you. Calls are quickest for a first conversation, texts work well if you are on a job, and email is best if you want to send links and numbers for us to look at before we talk.
Will I be pressured into signing up?
No. The first conversation is about whether we can help at all. Sometimes the honest answer is that you should fix one or two things yourself first, and we will tell you which.
What if I contact you outside business hours?
Leave a message, send a text or email. We read everything and usually reply within one business day. If you get in touch on a Friday evening, expect to hear back early the following week.
Do you meet in person?
Yes. Consultations are available in person or online by video call, as well as by phone, text and email, whichever fits around your working day.
